Mike Newcombe

I'm 63, from Halifax have been writing for over 30 years and what follows is a very short list of my prose and cons. As well as producing a handful of short stories finding their way to print in Canada, I’ve authored "THE MASON CHRONICLES," a detective novel published in the U.S under the pen-name, DS Rogers as well as "THE GARDEN OF BEST INTENTIONS (PLANTED & PICKED by me)", a baker’s dozen of shorts and novellas. Also, along with a 2nd who-done-it-when, “TIME & TIME AND TIME AGAIN” and a subsequent, more hard-nosed, detective mystery, “FIVE DAYS IN MAY”, after five years, I’ve completed what I believe to be my favourite work, a fantasy comprised of 3 books over as many generations that, for the time being anyway, I refer to as 'Protectors of the Faith'. Prior to this body of work, I was, and still am, a songwriter at heart and have amassed a collection of 50 plus songs over the years. One was recorded as a jazz interpretation, 'Magic in My Eyes' and I've also had one or two covered.
