I don't like to read poetry, basically I don't like it. As song lyrics, great, but reading poems usually will not happen.

I am a terrible reviewer and my readers deserve better. The trouble is that I have trouble sticking with things and if something just doesn't grab me, I quit reading. I also don't like poetry very much and this site has a lot of poets. You all really do deserve better from me, don't you?

And, strangest of all, I like to read my stuff because I like a lot of it. Also, it gives me a chance to fine tune and edit. Doesn't make me many friends or get many reviews, but that's how it is.

I do like to be read, no, I love being read. Selfish, aren't I?

With the advent of the internet, I started getting brave and since I could do it anonymously, started publishing things on writer's and fan fiction sites. I discovered that people like what I wrote and thought I was a good writer, and encouraged me to keep going. Now I have 3 ongoing stories that are #1 in their category on Wattpad--not great, but it keeps me going. I've got a novel written but it needs some re-working. Who knows, maybe someday I'll get published and make money!

My other passion--maybe my first--is archaeology. I read a story about the discovery of Tutankhamen's grave when I was 12 and I was hooked. I've read a lot about Egypt, Peru, the Maya, as well as Greece and Troy. I hope someday to "re-create" a story about a boy whose father is excavating in the Valley of the Kings. The book is out of print, but I'd love to find it.
