Mae Anne Black

I began writing poetry spontaneously at the age of 13. I have wanted to be a writer since I was a child but have pursued other ventures as an adult because I was always told that writing was not a career. I have recently refocused my life to pursue the only thing I have ever been passionate about doing.I believe writing is what God has called me to do. I have returned to school seeking a degree in English and I am in the process of working on my first novel which I hope to finish by the end of this year. I am also beginning to experiment with acting, which has been a great exercise in self discovery. I have become a auto/biography junkie! That is only because I find that real life stories are so interesting. However I could never write my own...my fantasy life has always been very rich and I am not sure I could accurately tell anything that actually happened to me.
