About Me
From the crazily painful inspiration of one's teenage years to the battlefields of todays divisive War on Terror, I've gathered bits and pieces that illuminated me, shocked me, cowed me with deep sorrow and lifted me high with joy and happiness. Armed with those bits and pieces, I have tried to paint the world with words.
I've mainly written to soothe my own soul, to unburden myself. Broken-hearted and on the Great Brink Of Whatever, I needed an outlet to ease whatever pains I thought I felt at the time. In 2001, shortly after 9/11, I joined the United States Army. I was simply caught on a whirlwind of patriotism. I'm not sure if I feel the same way now, but I have definitely experienced so much more than I would have had I not taken such a drastic change in my life.
Multiple tours of Iraq, culture shock experienced in the Middle East as well as my years spent in Europe have all lent themselves to the ever-growing story of my art as life/life as art.
