Southern Siren

I am 42 years old. I have three grown daugters and one new grandson. I am a Quality Specialist but I have much greater asprirations. A love of writing runs in my family. As a matter of fact, it was my daughter who encouraged me to join this site. I write personal essays for my own enjoyment and that of my family. I also write articles and kit reviews for my husband's plastic modeling passion. These have been published on several websites and may be published in a national publicaton if all goes well. I don't write fiction unless it is based on my own real-life experiences.
One thing that is in the works is a piece called "Walking the Tightrope, A mother's story" that I started a couple of years ago. We've all had our struggles and I believe that writing and reading about the way we feel about them and truimph over them is good medicine for wounded hearts.
I look forward to finding some of my new favorite writers on this site.
