LO GALLUCCIO
has a BA from Harvard College in Social Studies with honors and studied acting at the Goodman School of Drama in Chicago. Shes been nominated for two Pushcart Prizes in poetry. Her first solo CD, an avant-garde pop and spoken word record on the now defunct Knitting Factory label was hailed by NY DJ Vin Scelsa as By turns mysterious, seductive, surreal and spacy. In 2004 her first chapbook of poems was published by Singing Bone Press, entitled Hot Rain. Shes read and performed at many venues in Boston and New York City, including The House of Blues, the Nuyorican, St. Marks Poetry Project, The Mad Poets Caf and Cbgbs Gallery as a poet and vocal artist. As a reviewer for Ibbetson St. Press shes written about the work of many poets including Hugh Fox, Lyn Lifshin and Peter Gizzi. Her 70 page prose-poetry memoir, Sarasota VII was published by Cervena Barva Press in the fall of 2008.
