I have been working on a memoir focused on Hiroshima. My father's crew took the only color film footage of the aftermath of the atomic bombing in 1946, and the experience shadowed his life. Forty years later, after his death, I lived in Hiroshima with my daughter and came to know survivors -- and to know the man my father once was.
