I am a lot of things. I am a friend, a sister, a daughter, and a writer. I didn't always know I was a writer but my God given gift was brought out sometime during my high school years. It sparked just like the flicker of a lighter after several tries. I didn't embrace it right away until college during a creative writing class. As I read my story aloud, the room was quiet awaiting each word. As I finished my last word, eyes peaked above the pages and smiled from enjoyment. At that moment, I realized writing was my gift.....
