Heather Poliseno

I�ve been writing poetry (I use the term loosely) and short stories since I learned how to write. I attempted to write my first book when I was 10, but abandoned it pretty quickly. I discovered slam poetry in high school and fell in love. My ability to write slam poetry, however, was quite lacking. In college I helped start a slam poetry group on campus and over the last four years I�ve been slowly improving. I�ve been competing in local poetry slams for the last few years and competed in the 2006 College Unions Poetry Slam Invitational. I have recently been invited to perform in Women Stand Up! A Comedy Cabaret, a local show showcasing the funny women of the Twin Cities.
