About Me

Ferris Wheel Pictures, Images and Photos

So, my name is Drew. Yes, that is a boy's name. But, it's also my name. I've learned to live with it, and you can too. I'm 17 years old, turning 18 in August. I graduated high school, and I will be attending Westwood College, majoring in interior design in the fall.
These are some important things about me:

~My middle name is Melrose.
~I am Portuguese and Italian.
~I am terrified of being buried alive.
~It doesn't take much to make me laugh.
~I can't watch horror movies; they give me panic attacks.
~I hate rats and mice.
~I am not computer savvy at all; this is the one of the only websites that I am a member of. The others are too confusing for me.
~I love to travel, as do my parents. I have visited too many countries to count!
~I'm really conversational, sorry if that annoys you.
~I have no pets, except for five canaries.
~My favorite color is lilac purple; my favorite number is 16.
-My zodiac sign is a Leo.
~Prop 8 makes me loose faith in America and equal rights for everyone.
~Animal abuse makes me sick.
~I play piano, violin and flute.
~I'd rather sit by the fireplace and read than go out and party.
~I sometimes wear my grandmother's old clothes from the 40's.

I love this to no end-

Music is my life. These are a few of my favorite songs-

"They say that this is appealing
In someone so young
Well maybe this will be fun

Look kids I think that she's feeling,
Or is she numb?

This is me without charm
What possible harm could I do?"

Do we need to make a special effort to enjoy the beauty of the blue sky?
Do we have to practice to be able to enjoy it? No, we just enjoy it.
Each second, each minute of our lives can be like this.
Wherever we are, any time, we have the capacity to enjoy the sunshine,
the presence of each other, even the sensation of our breathing.
We don't need to go to China to enjoy the blue sky.
We don't have to travel into the future to enjoy our breathing.
We can be in touch with these things right now.

-Thich Nhat Hahn
