About Me
Born in New Orleans, LA, I moved north with every move, from Atlanta to Hartford, then back to Raleigh for school, back to Hartford, and now finally to heaven in Vermont. I've been writing since I was 6-y-o and I still have my very first poem ... somewhere in the myriads of drawers that are stuffed to the brim. I received a BA in holistic studies and an MA in writing and creative studies from Vermont College. Along with finishing both degrees, I wrote and completed my first novel* and I have since (sort of) started on the sequel.
I am a freelance editor and writing companion and mentor. In addition to the art of writing, I am a photographer and artist in other media such as fabrics, wood, clay, natural materials, and paper.

I need to post a public apology for being so absent these last several months ... much of my time and almost all of my energy goes to helping support my dad who has Alzheimer's Disease. Though I can't be real quick in responding or returning the favors of reviews, I am very interested in everyone's writings and I will comment as soon as I possibly can. I appreciate your attention, your understanding, and your patience.
The reverse side of that coin means, too, that if I get a chance to post something, please feel free to take your time responding :-)!
* My novel, SONG OF THE BLESSING TREES, is due to be re-published in the UK soon after the new year. Prospective launch date: February 2009.
