About Me
I enjoy reading, Formula One, rugby and cricket (as a spectator). Over the years I've been actively involved in amateur dramatics as actor, director and writer (of pantomime). I served in the fire service for 30 years and loved every minute of it. Two grown up children and three grandchildren.
I'm retired and I suppose I am just another one of those wannabe frustrated writers. I didn't pay attention at school, so I try to acquire my writing skills by reading a lot and attempting to emulate those who really know what they are doing. Whenever I write, I do my best to ensure that my verbage doesn't become just a succession of cliches, successfully I hope. My biggest shortcoming is an abbreviated understanding of the rules of punctuation. I don't have any unrealistic expectations to become the next Jack Higgins or James Patterson, but I really appreciate constructive criticism from people who know the difference.
