I am new to this website so I have to figure my way around a bit, so please bare with me. A little about me... I have always considered myself better with the written word than the spoken word. I have been writing poetry ever since I can remember to deal with depression and traumatic events that happened in my life. I wrote my first poem at the age of 8 about the death of my grandmother. I am now 30 years old, I live with my fiance and our cat, and I am currently enrolled at Southern New Hampshire University majoring in English and Creative Writing. That has started me writing short stories and even some short screenplays. I love to write because sometimes only a pen (or a keyboard) will listen. Theodore Roosevelt said it best: "Writing is easy. There's nothing to it. All you have to do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed."
