About Me

I am not a professional writer by any stretch of the imagination. I am a 22 year-old female, who has found freedom through daydreams and short stories. I am a fan of dark tales, shorts inspired by fairytale and mythology, epic adventures and realistic dramas. Though my taste in reading and writing often leans to the macabre I am a happy person.

I normally do not trouble the world with my writings, because I consider myself a mediocre writer. However, I love to write. I used to share my writing with friends who always enjoyed short stories. Yet, with time everything changes and I have realized three things...

1. No one beyond my friends want to read my stuff
2. Everyone grows up. Meaning, few of my friends have time to exchange writing with me and therefore I receive no criticism to make me a better writer. Also, the fun of exchanging stories is gone.
3. I realized that I began writing just for my friends. I knew my audience, which is good, but when your audience is only 8 people it makes it difficult for growth to happen. In order to see a change in my work I need to explore other options and to have other people read my writing.

With that being said, the 2nd and 3rd reason is why I am here. I want to become involved in a writing community and I figured I should start here. Happy reading and please let me know what you think.

(P.S. My grammar is atrocious. If your only comment is, "Your grammar sucks" all I have to say to you is, "Thank you, I know." If you have some tips to make grammar easier for me to grasp I would love to hear. Criticism I will take with a smile, mocking and slander I will not tolerate.)
