About Me
I've known that I wanted to be a writer since before I could even read -- when I was four I would dictate stories to my grandfather, who would put them in book form with illustrations (he's a cartoonist). I still like to write children's stories, though I've been in a semi-minimalist, hyper-realist phase. I also like to write prophetic and satirical science fiction, as well as opaque stream-of-consciousness narratives.
I also love discussing the craft with others. If you review one of my stories, I'll buy you a beer.
My favorite authors are (in not too much of an order):
William Faulkner, James Joyce, Raymond Carver, Thomas Pynchon, Anton Chekhov, Don DeLillo, Joseph Heller, Truman Capote, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Sylvia Plath, Aldous Huxley, F Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, Jack Kerouac, William S Burroughs, John Steinback, John Updike, J. D Salinger, Roald Dahl, Dr. Suess, Albert Camus, J. M Coetzee, Mark Twain, JRR Tolkien, Hunter Thompson, Tom Robbins, Voltaire, Margeret Atwood, Jorge Louis Borges, etc etc
