48 year old , married with three kids, three grandkids. Born and raised in Texas. I just finished my first manuscript and hope to have it self-published later this year. My story is based on the journals that I kept, while caring for my mother, who unfortunately passed away in 2001, of lung cancer. The goal of my book is to try and help others who are dealing with the same issues - and who isn't, right? Seems like everybody I know has been touched by cancer. It was also good therapy - getting my feelings down on paper. It was really difficult, though...getting the whole thing down on paper took about five, long, years.
