About Me

living in the sun and longing for rain

in love with john keats... dying young, loving love.

more cynical than i like to be,
yet romantic, against my better judgement.

Hector, I saw as kind of a "metaphor of a metaphor" I was close to saying he was a dog, since he didn't "follow" you, etc, The psychiatrist who looms in the background as you let me in on, is NOWHERE in the poem, from my read. Inserting the word psychoanalyze doesn't conjure a psychiatrist in my mind. I just figure the character is aware of her own, neurosis, state of mind...

Yes, Freud is almost a Joke in psychological circles because they try so desperately to be percieved as "scientific" and Freud was almost dogmatic. I always treated him more as a philosopher/writer than a scientist anyways, and once one does that, his stuff makes more sense. Jung was pretty much a theologian disguised as a scholar, but like Freud, he had some interesting ideas, esp the archetypes.

i like kafka, but i never can get my head all the way around his stories. right now i'm reading 'notes from the underground' by dostoevsky and goddamn is it depressing. i think i'm gonna stop and leave it for later.

hiya, yeah, not so lucky, I wish I could be off meds, and see no psychiatrists, but heck, I've tried, and its done me a whole mess. I actually, went from North Hollywood, CA to phoenix, Arizona because I was on a big trip called delusional and I started crying ini the middle of no where, till I called the cops and was sent to the hospital. Later, my dad called the grey hound and took me back home, lol, funny eh? ok not really, I could've gotten really hurt, but maybe my angel was with me. ---mishel
