Ginger Dehlinger

I self-published my first novel, Brute Heart, in 2010. I'm a Native Oregonian and a University of Oregon graduate with a BA in History. My writing consists of poetry, essays and short stories set in the American West. Memberships include The Nature of Words Advisory Committee and the Central Oregon Writers Guild. My nature essay, “Last Ride,” won first place in the 2011 Nature of Words Rising Star competition, and my poem, “A Bar Stool’s Lament” received a Writer’s Digest honorable mention. “Fallen Icons” another essay of mine was among the winners in the 2012 Literary Harvest Writing Contest. I am crazy about my two rescue cats, Kiki and Cali. My husband would rather have a dog.
