About Me

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I am sitting alone on a boulder in the middle of life's ocean, cautiously shying away from the waves lapping at the rock to get at me.
"I don't know how to swim, and I am afraid to sink."

My mouth can't make out the words "Helicopter, SOS."

Eventually, it'll get dark and cold, and so will the lapping waters.

I will ignore the pull of the Tides, and warm in the glow of the Moon.
I will ignore the pull of my Soul, and warm in the glow of the Moon.

Because I don't know how to swim.

Oh son, take away your look of pity, for I call myself Goddess of Darkness. Yes sir, I made my fear a title to be reckoned with. A title well deserved, so steal away your look of pity dear. No signs of my weakness desired here.

I will ignore the pull of the Sun, and warm in the glow of the Moon.
I will ignore the pull of the Stars, and warm in the glow of the Moon.

I sit alone on a rock in the middle of life's ocean, shying away from waters trying to get at me. I glare in contempt at thriving life grabbing fear by the balls, and squeezing out pleasure. My hate belongs to me alone, and I needly hold on to the only thing sustaining me.

My mouth won't scream out SOS, and I ignore the pull of the Sun, Stars, Tides, Soul, and I grab madly at my throat, where Love screams to get out, as I claw and claw with desperation;

LET ME OUT!!! And it pours out red Red RED, and red is all I see, and red is all I hear, and Red is All There Is.
Son, take away your look of pity.....

I don't know how to swim...

I'm fine, been thinking of you. Hope everything's ok.
I be looking for your sonnet, always a good way to learn.
I haven't written in form in so long. Write when you have time.

"I'm crying for understanding, and wishing alone."

You certainly are not wishing alone, I can tell you that.

How would you like to be understood?

Thanks so much for your review. :) Yes, it was meant to be sensual in parts. No coincidence there. Did you listen to the evoca? Maybe the line breaks will make more sense if you listened to me read it? I don't know. Atlanta Carter really helped me out with the piece. Check him out sometime, he's good.

Hey Aya,

Thank you for reviewing Fiza. :) I always appreciate what you have to say about my work.

I haven't really done much on this site lately... but when I'm around more often I'll be sure to bombard your poetry with comments. :)

Take care, and thanks again.

Hey love,

Thanks for your note on "the renaissance of lore". It's hybrid stuff, I think religion
should be our philosphy. Hope all is well and you're ok.

My internet has been out for a few days, don't know why. Write when you can?

Love,

Nan

I think that if we do small things to better ourselves as people (and it's all very subjective), then maybe it'll help better the world. I sound like a total hippie, don't I?

Thanks for reading my rant and sharing your thoughts. I agree, you can be whatever you want, if there's a god I don't think he/she/it/they/whatever would care about labels.

How are you doing, by the way?

Thank you for your message on my page, and for the review. :)

Basically, I was saying that there's no shame in showing your body. That in many monotheistic creeds, sex is a sin and extreme modesty should be practiced. I was comparing that to a time in history where it was okay to expose yourself, at least in art. And what strikes me as odd is that in Catholic art as well, angels and humans are generally naked or half naked. I just don't get what the big deal is. Now, I'm not saying everyone go be a w***e, you know? I'm just saying, I think it's beautiful to show who you are if you're comfortable doing it, to me it's okay to share these things.

And I'm okay, thank you. How are you?

Thank you so much for reading/reviewing/faving Heaven, Heaven. I really appreciate it, especially since it's coming from you. :)

I'm glad to hear you're a little better. Good luck with the college stuff... ugh I remember that whole process. So irritating. But it'll be over before you know it.
