I never liked writing until fourth grade, when my teacher started to require us to write a page a day. I wrote poetry in a big hand to stretch the rules, but eventually I started to explore. I had a wonderful teacher in middle school who prepped us for high school, and I continue to have wonderful teachers. It helps that I go to a wonderful school.

Anyway, my sister was always the writer of stories, and she still is. I write mainly poetry and songs, with the occasional journal entry or short story thrown in. I don't like to be restricted in my writing, so often my poems don't rhyme, or don't even have a rhythm or beat. I like to do conversations, or little things you might say to someone, like how beautiful the sky is, how s****y your day was, or how much you're looking forward to the summer. I take these and turn them into poems.

Anyway, I'm working really hard to finish my first book, and up till now i had completely forgotten about it, midterms, you know? Anyway, I'm not far along, and though I know how it will end, I don't quite know how to get there. I have some ideas... =)
