Raised in the Piney Woods of East Texas runnin' barefoot and wild through the woods, I've spent most of my life taking care of others, as I was raised in a medical family. I am a retired nurse-paramedic, firefighter and licensed massage therapist.

I am married to the love of my life, Jameson 'Gus' Rayne. We have two grown children and several others we raised as our own. In all, we have eleven grandchildren. They are our greatest joys and blessings.

I set my stories in Texas, bringing to the page the essence of life, love, family and a touch of spiritualism, without focusing on religion. These stories are written in Texas dialect along with some Gaelic and Native American dialects.

I was raised in the oral tradition of storytelling. Having a grandmother of Native American and Celtic heritage, storytelling was a requirement in my home.

It is my wish to bring back a bit of the magic of old time storytelling in my novels, making the reader feel as if they are sitting 'round a fire listening to the storyteller.
