About Me
I am Emily- though I'm not yet sure what that means. I am 26. I graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 2004, from a wonderful program called the College of Creative Studies, with a degree in honor's Lit. I met wonderful people and some talented writers. I also met quite a few authors. But now I work for a living- no more play silly girl! Here is a list of some things that make me tick:
The things I should have said and the things my tongue refuses to speak. Screams of passion. How my shadow pours itself onto parking lots, a long skinny black puddle, all legs and funny thinness. The wonders of the imagination and the cage of creativity. Thoughts that run around in my head until they become exhausted and fall to the floor. The sane and the insane. The living and the existing. Mosh pitts, guitar riffs, and jazz bars. The rules to children's games, and how they come to be. Tattoos. Reasoning. Dog hierarchy- it's a dog's world. Politics worldwide and in the backyard. Feminism. The 1967 Chevy Nova in Robin's egg blue. How sometimes broken is fixed...
I'm always ready to read new work, so feel free to message me. I'm a bit slow, but I will take the time to actually write constructive criticism!
