About Me I'm in the last lap of my life, having retired in 2011.
From the advice of a magazine article, I seek to become a 'character,' someone that my grandchildren will have fun talking about. I'be grown a pony tail, bought a motorcycle, have a beard and seek small and large adventures that appeal to me. I seek to write books: spiritual encouragement [No Fear is the first published]; fiction and children's books. I hope to finish one book a year with the time I have left. My life experiences give me ample fodder for such exercises. I am a combat Vietnam veteran, was an OJT medic in Nam, police officer, substitute school teacher, minister/youth minister and EMT. I investigated child abuse and neglect reports in my final job. I've seen birth and death, love and loss, joy and despair. My wife Karen, died from a rare brain disease, taking seven long years to finalize her race on earth. I am now married to Sharon and living the joy of love again. We have 7 children and 10 grandchildren together. She is a fine water color artist. We seek to experience what life has to offer and seek to serve our LORD JESUS in whatever presents itself. Blessings to each of you! |
