I first got my taste for writing poetry back in the mid-1990s while attending a community college in Toms River, NJ. I have been doing some basic creative writing over the years, but have restarted my poetry writing at the beginning of 2016. Poetry has always been a love of mine. I have just come into reading about how to get my poems noticed in the literary world. I am now starting to submit my work to be reviewed in the literary world. I am now a published author of five poems (While You Sleep, Rayfel Zaxforus, The Mermaids, The Ice Queen, and Lullaby of the Moon) in a book titled, ‘Chimes and Rhymes for Grown-Ups’. Said book can be found on Amazon.com. The publisher is Dawn Marie DiMartino and the contributing editors are Thaddeus Hutyra, Dawn Marie DiMartino, Tanya Miranda, and Steven M. Woods. Besides writing my poems, I work a full-time job as a security dispatch officer in Altoona, IA. I’ve been working in the security industry for over twenty years now. I’m a divorced father of two wonderful boys and I currently live in Ankeny, IA with my tortoiseshell cat, Harley.
