I'm just a gold-tinted blue soul endeavoring to find a deeper pathos in this imbroglio called life.
I try to bring old time elegance and sophistication to my present day poetry and that goal is mostly influenced by the likes of my morbid muse, Edgar Allen Poe, Wordsworth, Cummings, Byron, Browning, Tennyson and others of the same talent. That is not to say that I'm not taken by fits of hyperactivity and that I can't spin out some whimsical nonsense that the likes of Lear and Carrol have never seen! So those who are used to my style, will accept me as the example of what would have happened had Edward Lear and Edgar Allen Poe been contemporaries. I'm an up-and-coming senior who's ready to take on my demons and wrestle whatever I must to get where God needs me to be going.
I am known by many names, and recognize them all as facets of who I am. The definition of "self" isn't so important as what people feel when that self is around. To bring joy and gladness to someone by a deed or a word, is more important to me, than being remembered as the someone who did it. The deed lives on though the person may pass. In that way, we can each seek to imprint eternity, if only by being that anonymous hand that reaches out to show that one cares. Be the one!!
I'm deeply in love with Cyrano De Bergerac, so fellas, if you think you can rival him for my attentions, by all means, give it your best shot. I have been celebrating my singleness for two years now and I am not looking, though I do like making friends!!
Blessings always!!
Love ~Pyrite
May the Grace of our Lord bless you and keep you!
