I was set on becoming a writer from childhood however it would seem I'm a slow burner or lazy or something (I wrote more poetry, plays and short stories by the age of 10 than I have since, to my shame). After 10 years in a career I didn't like, plan or ever aspire to I made the leap over a year ago and now work as a freelance copywriter and journalist. I'm yet to reach any dizzying heights and I'm also longing to scratch the more creative itch of fictional writing and poetry. Yeah, I know, I want to write a book - who doesn't?! (I have attempted this and it is really hard!)

As a first public stab at creative writing I'm going to dip my toe back in to poetry initially; go back to my 10 year old roots. Or, basically, I think I probably have ADD and that seems a quicker way of getting my creative writing up on the internet :)

About me aside from the writing shizz - a young, busy Londoner and single mother to one fantabulous 7 year old girl.
