Con Houlihan one of Ireland's legendary writers! He was a great sportswriter and enhanced his writing with an eloquence of wry humour and wonderful social observations.Anything he put on paper was a pleasure to read and an education as a bonus.Sadly missed.


John B Keane. A brilliant Irish writer especially love his humorous writings.He wrote 'The Field' and introduced one of literatures great characters' The Bull McCabe'. Go on the Bull!

George McDonald Fraser - what a writer! Check out his Flashman series and get an inside track on History!
Fraser is the best in the business and very witty.

Roger McGough. If you haven't read his poems well then you are missing out! This guy knows his business.

Kyril Bonfiglioli. Check out 'Don't point that pistol at me!' Absolutely brilliant!

Mark Knopfler - check out the lyrics for 'song for Sonny Liston'. Knopfler is a beautiful writer and crafts his words as well as his music.A man who loves his words and uses them to create incredible imagery.
