About Medig my profile over at myspace.com/davidcicerone for songs, lyrics and artwork I have done over the past year or so. I have put all my art on there in the form of a slide show--you can click on the individual pieces and enlarge them for much better detail. I only say this because for some reason WritersCafe will not let me upload them, I dont know why...
Anyway, I live in California and I don't work. My creative enterprises are going far too well for me to waste time making money. I am currently working on a bunch of songs. I am in a great rush of creativity, so I am finishing all the stuff I've had around for months and months. By the time I am done, I should have two albums worth of stuff, lyrics and final arrangements and all. Some of the artwork on Myspace is going to be used as the album artwork. I don't read anymore hardly at all, except to avoid wasting time. I don't even really have favorite writers anymore. Nietzsche has always been the one universal constant throughout my writing and reading "career," along with other luminaries such as Dylan Thomas, whose story "Holiday Memory" is the greatest short story ever written bar none, Edgar Allan Poe, John Kennedy Toole, Hubert Selby Jr., Dostoevsky, Blake, Baudelaire, Huxley, Orwell, Lorca, Goethe, Rilke, Joyce, Robert Cormier, Iceberg Slim, William S. Burroughs, Hunter S. Thompson, Ginsberg, Kerouac and many of the other Beats, Hermann Hesse, Dalton Trumbo (who wrote 'Johnny Got His Gun,' the greatest anti-war book ever written) Eugene O'Neill, Pushkin, Lovecraft, Pynchon, Vonnegut, Kafka, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Roald Dahl, ah! the list is endless! But all of these dazzling figures will pale in comparison to MY book, which should be out, oh, sometime within the next twenty years, or twelve, if my alcoholism kicks in once again and enables me to compose deathless prose at the drop of a hat, the way it always used to. I just hope I don't spill beer all over my laptop computer again, after I have finally sat down to write the first two pages, which is what happened to me this past summer. But hey! that's what made me ditch the author plan and become a songwriter! Keep your eyes open for upcoming poems, essays etc. I have a vengeful poem about the American government coming up, should be good A word to the wise guy... D-Cic Comments
