About MeTo whomever is interested...
I am a bookworm, although my friends tell me I am too picky about my genres. I absolutely HATE sad, or otherwise depressing endings to stories and books, but that seems to be all I can write about in poetry. I can't seem to stick to my work...I'll get an idea, sprint with it, and then I'll get bored and start anew on another. Many of the things I plan on putting up on this site will probably never be finished, unless of course reviewers give me encouragement. One of the reasons I got into writing in the first place was because of Shakespeare. I don't mean writing as in the odd short story, I mean NOVEL writing. The work of Shakespeare is just so...unexpected. He seemed to create his own world within his own language, and it revolves around human nature. "The time and my intents are savage-wild, more intense and more inexorable far than empty tigers or the roaring sea."- Romeo and Juliet "Stars, hide your fires; let not light see my deep and dark desires."- Macbeth. Beautiful, isn't it? Hope to be writing well enough to inspire those without the guts to get an account. I know it took a lot for me to do this. I may have seemed a little rude recently, turning down several friend requests. I apologize, I'm very aware of the threat of internet predators, so excuse my cautiousness. It is very nice to meet such polite, well-spoken people with a common love for literature...I've never seen a site quite like this. I believe I'll enjoy myself here monumentally. Good luck, my fellow writers, ~Scarlet. |
