Teaching at Pima Community College for twenty years was a main motivation for writing Angeltown, a novel that puts students and teachers at the center of the action. Moreover, Angeltown takes place as the downfall of society happens, not after the collapse. Book two and three follow the adventures of Chava Chavez and her encounters with love and the future of humanity. 

As a college instructor (MFA), I have written about education for online publication. I have also written on society, elections and the state of politics in the United States that was encapsulated in my satirical book, A Patriot’s Guide to Right Wing Thinking written under the pen name Tex Shelters. Using my knowledge of film from San Francisco State University (BCA), I have also written dozens of movie reviews for the general public.
