Heromen Selena

I haven't changed my "about me" section since I joined this website at least 5 years ago, so I think it's about time I changed it! Lot's of things have happened to me since then and I'm a completely different person.

First off, I still mostly write poetry. That hasn't changed at all. If you are young and innocent, relax! None of my stuff is R rated or any of that. I tend to stay away from those topics unless it's relevant. That doesn't mean I don't read the I just prefer to write/read other topics. Don't get me wrong I still appreciate R rated things :)

Second, Heromen Selena is not my real name. My name isn't even Selena but I would like to be referred as that on this website. I don't want to deceive anyone and have them believe I was actually named that.

Third, I love reviewing other people's writing! Reading other works helps me grow as a writer because I often explore topics which I don't typically write about or have even thought about. Seeing another person's view of a common topic also helps. I learn from other people's mistakes and triumphs. I also like to help others fine tune their pieces and see how they can turn a good piece into a great piece. I try to provide as much constructive criticism as possible. I will never, EVER put down another person's ideas because no one person's ideas is wrong, because there is no "right" way to write. Everyone has their own style and idea of what they want to talk about.

Fourth, I'm a hopeless romantic. Being a girl I was raised on romantic comedies and chic flicks, so it runs through my veins :) So taking that into account you can expect that most of my writing will have love in the theme. Sometimes not but I'm generalizing my writing here.

Fifth, you can assume I am between the ages of 18 and up. I won't disclose my actual age.

Sixth, total nerd. I'm an engineering major at a college I'm not going to tell you which :P But basically that means that I enjoy the hard questions and geeky facts and jokes. BTW to all of my math/science/engineering majors out there if you EVER need help on homework, I gotchu. Just shoot me a message and we can work it out together. That stuff is TOUGH. You aren't alone. What comes with being a nerd is the trait of being introverted. I have a rough time making new friends and a little socially awkward in person, but that doesn't mean I don't want new friends or don't like talking to people! It's just harder for me.

Seventh, some of my favorite shows include: Supernatural (although I haven't watched the rest of season 11 no spoilers please!), Dexter, House, House of Cards, Attack on Titan, Seven Deadly Sins, The Adventures of Sinbad (the anime), Ajin, Say Yes to the Dress (I know I'm THAT girl), American Horror Story (coven is best), Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel (the spin off of Buffy), CSI, NCIS, CSI New York, The Mentalist, and there are many others but those are my all time favorites.
