About Me

Hi I'm Carl. I'm from England. I can't remember a time when I did not write. I went to school and had the most amazing teacher an American called Martin Foxwell. He taught me so much. The greatest lesson he taught me was that no text book can tell you about emotion. I went to college and again had the most amazing teacher a lady called Katie Machin. She taught me all about "Personification" and how giving things an identity can open a complety new avenue of posibilities. So whenever I do a poetry night I will always name check those amazing individuals whose time and paitence brought me to where i am today. I owe them so much.

There are three strands that hold my poetry together.
1 Cities, Towns and Nations - I write for these because they are part of me. Wheather it be England,America Israel I write about these because I have to. A lot of personification goes in to my work on these check out "Shape A Nation"

2 Children - I write about Children because I believe They are the Keys to the Cities Towns and Nations. I was once told that for a culture to change only 6% of the people have to change. Imgaine if you will A child who wants to go to school because he wants to go to school. Imagine a family sitting round the meal table finding out about everyones day. Brilliant. I honesty believe that if we get the kids we will get the parents . If we get the parents then the culture changes. I know that I can't change a Nation or a City but I can change my little group of friends and I may not see a culture change in my lifetime But i will die trying to change the culture.

3 America. - I love her. " her" yes because she is female. I can't really explain What it is with her and me. Check out "A Nations Weight" The best way I can probably describe it is America is like your teenage daughter. You love her with a passion but you hate some of the things she does. I value her and respect her and I will defend her as long as the day exisits.

Aside from poetry don't do much

Influences U2 Tori Amos Indigo Girls Bruce Springsteen Harlan Coben and a whole stack of people to many to name.

While you are here check out some of the amazing brilliant poetry by other writers

LiLi - amazing and currently STL'S Poet of the Year

JustJen2U - Brilliant writer and amazing poems

Cat o nine - Devil In the Details is one of the most amazing stories you will ever read.

Keena - awesome

And again to many to name

Thank you for reading this remeber "Poetry Is Life".
If you go through that door that will take you into my world of words
Enjoy

Hi, thank you for your friendship, it's much appreciated :)

Hello Carl, thank you :)) I am okay, life is very busy, and not enough hours, and I hardly visit here, my old home, but must try, even writing is on a back burner ....how are you doing? xxx

Its warming my heart to have you on the journey with me.
The new characters will be interesting, but I think you are right in that the old ones finding new depth is more intriguing. i had never figured that AZ would be a favorite, but I suppose that the mean and spiteful b***h does appeal to the general population, she is just so entertaining.

I hope to take this one through the middle ground between good and evil, in that the final winner is not determined by the faithful, but the converted. its good to know that you are here with me to keep it rooted.

I thought I felt your eyes on my pages. And here I figured that my tales of Heaven and Hell were long buried.

And I must admit, that the name drop in your bio is beyond flattering.

I have pretty much finished it now, though the last few chapters are under edit for content before they go to post. though there is a rumor that it is a limited engagement. I might have to sell a right or two- after all, it would high hypocrytical not to offer my soul should an appropriate opportunity land in my littlerbox. Any words of warning, should I take that leap?

Carl, thanks for mentioning me as "awesome" in your bio lol. And thanks for reading my whole novel. That meant so much to me. I have more confidence now to go foward in publishing it. Even if it's simple self publishing. Thanks.
