About MeBorn July 1st, 1975 as Christopher W. Smith in the midwestern city of Fort Wayne, Indiana. I lived with my mother and three brothers....where I was next to the oldest.
I moved to a quaint and remote country town in Ohio in 1993, and began writing feverishly, mostly due to the solitude of the country side. Throughout the '90's--I raised a family, worked more than full time-- and had written everything from short stories to full length manuscripts. Mostly to entertain myself, I guess. I had the will and passion to write, but had no idea of what to do with it. None of my work has were ever been published. And some are still yet to see the light of day. Poetry has always been at the heart and soul of my writing influence and passion. I have embraced the horror genre... and feel that weaving the silky fabric of poetry with the gritty, grisly and uneasiness of horror thus leading to my unrefined, melding of the 'pulp/horror' style that I have become a slave. In 2011 I had taken on the writing pseudonym 'Deadman' and made it official by smearing the name on everything and forcing it down the throats of social media as the critically acclaimed... Deadman Media. A few of my literary influences include: King.... Koontz.... Lovecraft....Poe....Barker... Wilde...Frost....Vern...(just to name a few) |
