About Me

Quiethouse Poet, Kolayah-KeeVan was born KeeVan Barnard Wilson August 14, 1970 in Opelika, AL. This award-winning poet is a published author and founder of Quiethouse Culturetainment, Co-host of Literary Lounge Cafe' Starbucks Tiger Town and Poetry Lounge @ Tiana's Art Gallery, empowerment speaker, fitness expert and lifestyle performance coach.
When he is not transforming your mind with his awesome work with a pen or voice, he is coaching his clients in transforming their bodies and wellbeing as the Owner/Trainer of REDDLION Fitness
[Re Defining Destiny Living In Oneness].

Promoting literature and art is a joy for Kolayah and he has been active in this effort for a several years or more. After writing his book of Prose poetry; MOUTHSWIDESHUT, Kolayah and his wife, LaShawn, developed Quiethouse Culturetainment in the spirit of culture, entertainment, history, and love for self. We feel the need to revive the art of poetry, spoken word, story telling, self expression and enlightenment specifically in our community and surrounding areas.

As an observer, Kolayah has met many wonderful and diverse people who have a voice yet are cut off from expressing due to oppression, ignorance, or fear. "Everyone has a story (a measure of wisdom) and their story deserves to be heard".
Literature, art, and music awareness are important to our expression. We must keep these three at the forefront especially in our homes. In this society, adults and children are always on the go. While pushing ourselves to the limit, let us not forget the creative person inside.
ONEVOICE is a conscious movement presented on behalf of all of us. This is the total essence of the Oneness consciousness.
We are all universal-one verse-One Voice!

To book Kolayah for poetry readings, spoken word shows, seminars, workshops, and expos contact LaShawn at 334.707.2296 www.myspace.com/quiethouseculturetainment or [email protected].
