About Me

Once there was a boy who wished someday to be a grand storyteller, inspired by his teacher, a very wise woman, who implanted the notion in the boy's fertile mind. In the following years, this notion that he, someday, would be a grand storyteller only grew and grew. But in the meantime, a raging war ensued and the boy was distracted from his original goal and he became a shamnan/ warrior instead.

A long time passed and he saw many changings of the seasons before the battle ended for him. Wounded and returned to his people, the thoughts of becoming a storyteller had long ago died, during the great war of nations, so he started on a journey which would take him down many paths. The young warrior was didheartened and felt defeated and ashamed. Nothing that he tried in life satified his yearns.

His anger and frustration grew because of the war and he left his people and family,in search of something. He did not know what it was when he left and wandered about, lost in hopelessness, and despair.

One day while on his endless trek he came upon a Shamnan who saw in the young warrior, something that caused him to take him and teach him in the ways of healing spiritually. After many seasons, the young warrior had a change of heart and returned to his people.

Now after many years of searching, he had finnally made peace with himself and persued his first vision, to be a grand storyteller.

That young warrior was me. The journey has been long and ardous with many obstacles in the road. And it still is not an easy journey nor finished down the Red Road. But I believe with the help of the Great Mystery and all the Ancestors which have gone before me that I have a fighting chance.

May the Creator walk with you on your journey and keep you safe from harm, always.

Oh by the way, you might read a piece or two with a by-line of "Fred BWIC." Fred is a long time friend and companion. He is an eight year old boy and lives in a four story walkup with his parents on West Fletcher Street in 1950's urban Chicago. You see, Fred is my Inner Child. Our picture appears in my album.

Funny you should comment on the Orwellian feel. I sort of thought of Big Brother that we have over here filling our minds all the time on TV. Thanks for the review.
