About Me
Originally from England I have lived in a small village on Long Island for almost thirty years now. My career has been a checkered one, but on the whole a very enjoyable path of discovery. Starting out life as a biology teacher in London I have moved through many lines of work and study, from making fossil replicas for museums, archaeological digs in foreign parts, museum education, teaching Native Studies and Ethnobotany. I went to art school and I am an artist in many media, including printmaking, graphic work, oils and photography. I started writing only a few years ago when I joined the Writer's conference in Southampton, NY and I am now working on my MFA in creative writing at Stony Brook , Southampton.
I would say that my writing is heavily influenced by my travels and my love of nature.
