About Me

I have always been told, I wear my heart on my sleeve, but not everyone can read what I feel inside by a simple glance and a handshake, So, I pour my heart and my emotions onto paper so that others that desire the knowledge and undertanding of my silent pain, can see and feel what I hide inside. I started writing poetry in highschool around 2006-7, all i had left was elective's so when I saw there was a poetry class I thought to myself "why not, I will just get a passing grade and be done with it". My teachers name was michelle, and I have to say, at first it didnt appeal to me... but after only a few days I began to get into it and before I knew it I was writing poems left and right (though they might not have been very good) and became, well, rather ubsessed with writing. I owe alot to michelle for not only opening my eyes to poetry, but helping me realize that its a great release from reality, stress and many other things. Soon after I had gone into the class, my first love, a stunning red head, destoyed me in the worst way and I lost myself in pain. Poetry really became a great allie of mine for many years after that, I know, that sounds corny or something but it (I think) is what really shot me into not only striving to better myself and try to become something, but helped my poetry. I have written a great many poems because of it. I write mostly free verse because it flows out of my mind and I feel if im trying to rhyme, it takes away from the depth of it and its true meaning. I aslo write mostly from life experiences and heart ache because, like I said, its my escape. For years, I have been made fun of for being a poet but I have never let it stop me from writing and dont plan on it. I am very proud to be a part of the poet world.
