*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

I have two passions in life. Writing and music.

I've been writing since I was seven years old. The first story I constructed was "The Lost Key". I don't even remember what it was about, except for the obvious key that was lost. I wrote it while sitting at the dining room table on my pretty little piece of paper.

Since then, I've written numerous poems and short stories. I've completed a novella and a rough first draft of a novel (which needs a lot more added). Most new writers have a problem with writing too much in their novels, landing over 100,000 words. I have the opposite problem. I am struggling to get between the ideal 60,000-80,000 words that the majority of literary agents find acceptable.

I constructed my recent work on a website on my cell phone. Since then, I've transferred it all to Word via computer. I had a pretty large fan base on that website, but unfortunately it shut down. So I'm left to start over.

I love fiction. I have a lot of pieces with only a few pages or chapters since I have new ideas all the time. I have to write them down so I don't forget.

Reading novels by unpublished authors has become something I enjoy a lot and hope to do plenty of here.

Aside from my passion for writing fiction, I am a professional freelance writer. I currently do a lot for Demand Media Studios. But in doing this I've picked up a bad habit. Instead of the traditional two spaces between sentences, they require only one. Now, I find myself doing this all the time with my stories and frequently have to go back and fix it.

I'm not perfect with my spelling and grammar, but I am eager to improve it. I might check out the courses available on here until I sign up for online classes to obtain my degree in English Literature and Creative Writing.

In my writing, you'll probably find a lot of blood, romance, and twisted cross-genre stories from old ladies who talk to pet leaves to angry twin sisters on a revenge-filled murder streak. I don't have any boundaries and certainly don't stick to one genre.

In conclusion, I am happy to be a part of WritersCafe and hope to meet a lot of new and interesting friends.

=)
