I'm a writer. Some people are alcoholics or druggies, using those to suppress emotions and stress. Bad idea. I use writing. Whenever I'm down, I write out my sorrow. Whenever I'm happy, I write out my glee. Writing is a wonderful thing. Writing is what I do. I love to write.
