About Me
I'm a nail tech. For a forty bucks, I'll scrub the dead skin off your feet, massage your unshaved legs, tell you that the polish that you chose suits you skin tone beautifully, and then I'll go home and write about you.
I've been working the same job for 3 years, and, like every other job, it starts to seem a bit mundane after a while. Not too long ago, however, I took a step back and really looked at what was taking place in my little room on a daily basis. I realized that I get to hear the stories of people - ordinary people: A woman who meets her father for the first time, a mother who recounts the day her son committed suicide, love stories, mid-life crisis stories, a lady who somehow managed to mess up an egg shampoo. I've heard almost everything, and the truly wonderful thing is that I'm free to share these stories with you.* :)
*Names in all stories have been changed out of respect for the privacy of those who were kind enough to talk to me, when they could have flipped through an outdated magazine.
