About Me
Virginia…never more
Summer is just around the corner and as one feels the warmth beginning to turn to the hot days and nights, it is the coldness of tragedy that once again fills the hearts and minds of families. With the entire world in turmoil of rage, anger, hate, and wars, it is death that places foot upon our doorsteps. No one can predict when and where it will strike again as the realization of being within its grasp continues to haunt us. There are no answers as even within tragedy the world is split within the decisions of whether to arm or disarm. Even the greatest of minds and the words of poets famous or not cannot stop the violence that has everyone within its grip. Some will not feel the sadness through any of these circumstances but everyone will feel the closeness of which it strolls. We all look for the solution to these waves of crime and the injustice that it brings yet there is the illusion and mistake of repeated security. We all wish and hope and even pray for the miracle of solution to this madness within our society. Unfortunately there is none at this time and all we can do is continue to plea our case to the ones who run governments and make laws to protect the innocent. How unfortunate that the solution is still not here, and we still can feel the winds of winter even as summer nears...
Virginia…never more
It was within the stroll of winter, where the silence of cold and harsh winds, there I saw, and it found me. The reality of summer beyond the days of spring,
To be no more…
The days of cheer were what my experience joined, as birth of Christ brought me to my knees, to pray and hope for the days of spring of which
I see no more…
Good byes and tears sang unto the hearts of friends and family, as travel took me once again upon the fields and the hills of Virginia,
to be there soon never more…
My soul felt the whispers of blue skies over the heavens and sunshine closed her doors, for summer touched days of April, when the moon fell silent,
glowing no more…
There someone realized winter crosses the oceans and silence can touch the world, for hearts and minds once touched in Blacksburg, surreal the images
never to be more…
Once again I strolled across the ice and cold of winter as her harsh winds touched me within the depths of sorrow for which I could not escape
whispers more…
Half mast and years of tragic memories became many displays of tears and cries of the places we call home, for I was not
to come there any more…
In memory of the loss at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia and
In memory of every soul lost within the tragedies of human sorrow
