Vivid in imagination, rich with colorful expressions of life, hope, fantasy and possibility are the words of Apryl Skies. Skies makes a charismatic debut into the literary world with the publishing of her first poetry collection, A Song Beneath Silence - Now Available Apryl is a Los Angeles, California native whose creativity is not exclusive to her passion for poetic composition, she also expresses natural talent behind the camera. The photography within this collection captures the intense beauty of the world through the eye of a lens and the heart of a poet. While inspired by history’s many brilliant poets such as Elliot, Cummings, Blake and Poe; Skies has established a modest following of her own. As a contemporary poet and author, Apryl has impressed the likes of fans both online as well as by her appearances at local poetry readings throughout the Los Angeles area. Before entering the publishing world, Apryl focused her energy toward film with the release of her animated fairy tale series on DVD, Polyphony Be you and Accept Me Too!, winner of the 2010 Gold Pixie Award a 60 minute anthology of puppet adventures, clay animation, computer graphics and poetry for children. Polyphony is now available at retailers worldwide and was a huge hit at the 2008 Coachella Music & Arts Festival. When not occupied by quill and scroll, Apryl donates her time tutoring English and Literature to young people who would not otherwise be able to afford such assistance.
