About Me

I decided to update my profile and switch from Lovely Lyla to my real name (my initials, actually). The picture and name fit well with my fan-fiction writing, but clashed with my horror writing. It just looked odd. Plus, I can now change my photo to suit my moods.

I just recently started writing short stories and fan-fiction (mostly video games). I've had lots of ideas running around in my head for years and finally decided to put them down on paper. I have an overactive imagination and I'm still very much a kid at heart (even though I'm soon to be 39!) My stories are usually fantasy, horror, love stories, or sci-fi. I love Japanese animation and Manga. I am definitely an odd mixture- I can write about sweet, innocent love one moment, then switch to a bloody horror story the next. Writing is my outlet and makes me happy. I hope to become a professional writer someday.

As always I am thankful for your reviews! I love when you give me some constructive criticism, because it always makes me think and eventually will help me to edit. Without constructive criticism I dont think I would be the writer I am today! Anyway thanks again!! Much love to you!

I tried so desperately to get into Jean Auel's books...but I just couldnt! I read the first book and half of the second. I just couldnt stand the dozens of pages just describing the landscape...but I did try though so I should get points. Why how bad was the last book!? My friend was waiting years for that

Just finished reading The Land of Painted Caves by Jean Auel, the last book in the Earth's Children series (Clan of the Cave Bear, etc...) I waited a long time for the final book in this series and I have NEVER been this disappointed in a book in my entire life. It was just horrible! 757 pages of repetition, flat characters, and no real story. Excuse me, I need to go gouge out my eyes now.

Thanks for the review as always! I can tell you that is not how the story is going to go...a lot more will be revealed...and there is a lot of foreshadowing in chapter 2! Todd is working on chapter 4 today, so that should probably be up by Tuesday at the latest! I am glad that you are liking the story so far!!! Much love to you!
