About Me

For those of you who know absolutely nothing about me, here it goes. The reason for this blog is so that I can share my writing abilities, which I’m extremely proud of, to friends, family, and complete strangers so they have something interesting to read. I write for my own entertainment most of the time but I always enjoy watching people read what I’ve written and give me feedback on it, whether or not it was good, what they did or didn’t like, and various other things that can be commented upon with my stories since there’s only room for improvement.

The type of stories I write aren’t limited in the fiction category since I don’t like to limit myself to one genre buttest my writing abilities in all areas in the fiction genre. There are genres I prefer over others but I will usually write in every possible category that I can possibly think of and write about. There may or may not be a pattern with my writing with the strong female protagonist or something of that nature but I usually have two or more main characters that are either working together, working against each other, or working to save the other. Of course, there’s more to my writing than just that that I simply just can’t explain in dept because of the complexity that I’ve developed while writing these last few years.

The reason I enjoy writing, I suppose, is that it’s an escape. No, my life isn’t something I want to escape from, I’m truly grateful and blessed to have so many people in my life that love and support me through anything and everything I do. But just like many human beings, there was a point in time where I did want to escape due to family circumstances when my mother passed when I was ten years old, and the day she died played constantly in my year for three years straight. Eventually, I was tired of having that day replay in my head so I wrote my first poem about it and ever since then, I continued to write poetry that was just a relief from how I was feeling and then, I began writing my own stories. The reason I started writing my own stories is because when I would read other published authors, I would think to myself how one thing couldn’t been different or how things would be different if the author wrote it another way. Finally, after thinking constantly about the countless scenarios that could’ve been written, I began writing my own stories.

The first story I was extremely proud of, mostly because I had written over 100 pages on it and I had heard from several friends it was better than most things they’ve read, was Sapphire Moon. For those of you who do know about Sapphire Moon, I had began writing it when I was in the seventh grade and I had spent countless hours writing, and rewriting it for the last two years I was in middle school and the summer before my freshmen year in high school, I was in the process of publishing the story. After months of going back and forth with the self publishing company (possibly the biggest mistake I’ve ever made) the book finally published on September 28, 2011, it was published. I figured my sales would fly through the room and that I had written the next New York Times Bestseller but I was completely wrong. Sapphire Moon was a complete bust because I had only sold 28 books in six months so after seeing such numbers, I decided to remove it off the market and start over. Yes, rewriting a book is a giant decision but in my opinion, with the work I’ve done on it so far, it’s worth it.

On this blog, I hope I can write something that people can’t help but read over and over again and can only praise it and not think of anything negative to say about it. Of course, there might be some negativity against things I write since there is always a critic but I hope to gain mostly positive reviews on my short stories. The short stories might length from one chapter to a few chapters depending on how the story goes and where I would like it to go. With that being said, I hope you can enjoy the stories I post here and want to read more of the stories I’ve written in the future.
