About Me

I'm a small-town business student who loves to write. I have just recently completed the final draft of my first-ever manuscript, most of which can be found on my page under "The Race of Kings: The Dragon Heir." I dabble in all forms of writing: short stories, fantasy fiction, creative non-fiction, poetry, and I've been published several times for my travel journalism.

The only thing I do not really deal with is free verse poetry. Sorry to all my free-verse-poet friends out there, but if you ask me to review your work, you're more than likely wasting your time. It is VERY difficult for me to understand it a lot of times, and therefore my reviews very seldom amount to anything. Example: "Um,...you're talking about a guy, right?" or "very....flow-y." Most often, I will read your work, and then not say anything. So, yeah, heads up.

I do enjoy reading other people's writing though, and I try to leave constructive criticism or praise every time I do. I am a grammar fiend, so if anyone ever needs someone to give them an honest, thorough grammar and spell check, don't hesitate to ask, but I won't do so unless it's requested.

I have never met a person
whose greatest need was anything
other than real, unconditional love.
You can find it in a simple act
of kindness toward someone who needs help.
There is no mistaking love.
You feel it in your heart.
It is the common fiber of life,
the flame that heals our soul,
energizes our spirit and supplies
passion to our lives.
It is our connection to God
and to each other.
~Elisabeth Kubler-Ross~

People are like stained glass windows:
they sparkle and shine when the sun is out,
but when the darkness sets in
their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light within.
