It seems pointless to say that I'm a writer. Specifically, I write fiction: speculative fiction, horror fiction, fiction fiction...

I need to write. Not in the "I need to write, or I'll just die" sense - though once upon a time I thought it was so. No. I was wrong. I didn't NEED to write because it was like breathing, but it DID make me happy. Nowadays, I need to write in order to accomplish some sense of progress.

That's it.

And, it makes me happy. What need could I have? What more could I say?
