About Me

Alexander Rivera is a relative, up and coming newcomer in the world of fiction writing. His works have appeared in both online and print magazines/anthologies such as Ethereal Gazette III and V, RAGE Magazine July 2006, Tabloid Purposes III, and some poetry featured at the Palm Tree Garden.org. He specializes in mostly supernatural fiction -- in both horror and otherwise. Magical realism also shows up in his work; while influenced by a wide variety of sources such as everything from H.P. Lovecraft, Storm Constantine, Philip K Dick, etc. to personal studies in the occult/esoteric.

I am also an illustrator and dark artist currently taking some time off to work on my writing craft. You can find my work on DeviantArt.com as www.xenshin.deviantart.com

FictionPress.Com is where I primarily add my works (www.fictionpress.com/~trilock) but WC.org will be my second choice. Check out my Author's Den profile as well: http://www.authorsden.com/alexanderrivera and naturally MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/crimsoncorpus

EDIT: To all my friends here, sorry I haven't been more into WC but many things have been happening in my personal life that have kept me from participating more fully on here. I wish you all the best!

HEy man how's your new stuff coming along? I got a new article published on Associated Content and this is closely related to why An Eye In Shadows was written, and Cyber:Terror:Machine the novella is done -- are you ready for the size of this MF of a novella -- it's 21,000 words. I.O.W.A. is done too and I got four stories just like The Fandom Writer. They are a little more vizeral in the delivery, the most recent one of those is going to be darker than The Fandom Writer in every way. Media Darling is vicious too.

Hehe, thanks for the reviews Alex. Glad that you enjoyed the stories. I still have yet to read any Faulkner, so I can honestly say that he wasn't an influence. LOL. :) Hope all is well with you! :D

Thanks for the review of my poem...it's even better now (in my opinion anyway) When I went to read your review I noticed the music wasn't working...it is now. :)

Thanks for the review. I did rewrite it though. It's called Father Forgive me, For I Have Sinned. I think it gets almost all the qualities that needed to be fixed.

Thank you for so much for reviewing my decended darkness short story. I have barely been on too with my new novel and college I just haven't found time to be on. I agree, I definately needs to fleshed out and I will come back to it one day. When I do I will take your advice into account.

Everything is fine. And you? Did you get the notice that Dark Horizons is going to press? :) I need to ask him if we get a copy or not. Haven't gotten around to it yet.

I've been getting submissions left and right for your would be anthology mates one of them was originally from Tabloid Purposes 2. The story he wrote in Tabloid Purposes 2 is titled King of the Rats and the story he wrote for Quakes and Storms is Ice Storm.
