Cobra

Cobra

A Poem by Amanda Avalon
"

Written sometime around March/April 2003. A sample from the book I am currently constructing

"

From a distance

Midnight eyes narrow

Heart sinks

Muscles freeze

As they slice right through me

And I am gone.

The net has fallen from my grasp

Now I’ve been poisoned by you

You say, “I don’t bite!”

But you sure as hell do

You smile

It’s comedy

Satisfied

As I dissappear

I like this has it is. This is so well written.

"The net has fallen from my grasp

Now I've been poisoned by you"

Those were my favorite lines, I connect with those the most. Great write.
