I am an open book

But only a few readers

Will ever understand my contents

 

Within me is a coded language

Of poetically expressed pain

And confusing, complex concepts

 

There’s rage in every page

And laughter in every chapter

Multiple story-lines
Intertwined

All headed for a wonderful disaster

 

Where heroes and villains battle,

But the “good guy” doesn’t always win

Where success is a fairytale

And failure becomes a friend

 

Where every character is an actor

And my life becomes the stage

Where the reader is pushed off a cliff

Every time they turn a page

 

It will make you laugh

And indeed, some scenes

Will surely make you cry

But I guarantee,

It’s worth the read

Just give it a try

 

It’s plain on the outside

Without much appeal or color

But the inside,

Will be sure to surprise

So don’t judge this book by its cover

Yes, I think you have the same thirst for interesting fiction I have, and yes I know the poems about your mindscape, but also why can't fiction be entertaining and arresting at the same time. Enough Hollywood story lines!! Watch some Korean films dude, it's terrifying, the main characters are just getting owned up everywhere!!

i love sci-fi, and horror...but i think Korean movies my be too much even for me lol... have you seen the movie called "The Human Centipede"? ...it might be Japanese though...dude it scared me for life! lol

wow, i like this very much. I could say we are all books in different forms and format. Our pages becomes thick as we age. We learned then we become wiser and that's life like a book. awesome!

I love that third stanza, SR...so damn much. The entire piece is gold but that stanza shines just a touch brighter than the rest. And, pfft, yeah right...your cover is anything but plain, gorgeous man ;-)

So true, even within the pages our laughter and rage, it can't be trusted because no matter how much of ourselves we put out there, no one ever really knows what lies beneath that book jacket. Love this one Serenus.
