Experiencing Underwater BreathingA Poem by kera moondustmostly because I'm a scuba diver.I’ve never
been suspended in space And I
probably never will have the Chance to be I won’t
witness the earth cycle like the moon In empty planetary
sky’s But I
imagine it feels something like Breathing underwater I wasn’t
born with gills like my Older brothers
ex best friend And I couldn’t
even swim Until I
almost drown once But I have
spent some time Breathing Underwater And even
with this Thirty pound
tank strapped to my back Suspended sixty
feet deep I’ve never
felt more Weightless You see the
light from the surface twinkles In this way
that makes my skin look like It has been
infused with diamonds Until the
only color these eyes can see Is this cerulean
scenery I was
suspended above this vacant alien world Born and
breathing under our noses Before I had
any recollection of heart break Love Or pain of
any kind In that
moment My heart
didn’t beat like birds wings It was the
soft gliding fins of my Venomous Sting Ray © 2013 kera moondustAuthor's Note
